Nursing Assistant / Night EMD / at 50% / in 11 or 12 month CDM

Reporting to the management at the center for home hospitalization (CHAD), the night home maintenance team (EMD) provides support to the day teams to offer the late bedtime service in order to promote staying at home and the client's level of autonomy. The nursing assistant provides services independently or in a pair, respecting the lifestyle, beliefs, values, and culture of the client, at their home. He/she is required to travel throughout the canton of Geneva between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

Your missions and responsibilities

• Perform bedtime assistance for clients, as their health requires, using the means provided, alone or in a pair, by delegation of care and as a substitute for the day teams
• Provide basic care by conforming to learned techniques, respecting the criteria of safety, efficiency, and comfort, according to the instructions of the situation supervisor
• Intervene in the client's immediate environment to preserve their comfort and safety
• Observe, during the intervention, changes in the client's activity and behavior in order to anticipate any potential risk to their health and autonomy.
• Nursing assistant diploma or training deemed equivalent
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience at home or in an institution, experience in the disability sector is an asset
• Sense of contact and observation, while being capable of discretion
• Listening and understanding of others in a home environment requiring adaptability
• Ability to evolve in a professional relationship respecting the individuality of the client
• Ability to work autonomously
• Ability to travel throughout the canton with a vehicle provided by the institution.
