socio-educational assistant (ASE)

We are looking for a socio-educational assistant (ASE) to join a hospital unit specialized in the care of elderly people. The position is part of an environment requiring a benevolent, securing approach adapted to the specific needs of patients, particularly in a psychogeriatric context. The ASE participates in the global support of patients, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, in compliance with the protocols and care objectives defined by the institution. Start date: As soon as possible Duration initial: 1 month, with the possibility of re-evaluation and extension Activity rate: 80 to 100 % Location: Neuchâtel

As part of your duties, you will notably be required to:

• Ensure the daily socio-educational support of patients;
• Participate in activities promoting the well-being, autonomy and quality of life of patients;
• Adapt your support to the capacities, needs and state of each person;
• Observe and transmit relevant information to the multidisciplinary team;
• Collaborate with the different professionals involved in the care;
• Participate in the implementation of activities adapted to elderly people;
• Ensure compliance with protocols, institutional rules and security measures;
• Contribute to maintaining a reassuring, respectful and benevolent environment for patients.

We are looking for a socio-educational assistant (ASE) ideally having experience in the field of psychogeriatrics or with elderly people.
