Varnisher 100 % CDD

Operation of the varnishing station on a surface treatment line, on a temporary mission of 3 months at 100 %, 3x8 schedule, with a real possibility of permanent engagement afterwards.

THE COMPANY :

Our client is a Vaudois industrial SME specializing in the surface treatment of metals. Its production site operates continuously, in shifts, and trains its own operators station by station, with an internal trainer. We are recruiting for its lacquering department.

YOUR MISSION :

Within the lacquering team, you prepare the paints and operate the varnishing station of the line. You are responsible for the shade, the regularity of the applied layer, and the cleanliness of your area, under the responsibility of the team leader.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare the paint and surface treatment products according to existing instructions and data sheets.
• Check the paint reference before each series launch.
• Set the varnishing tool according to defined parameters and adjust during production.
• Monitor the quality of the applied film (appearance, regularity, shade) and alert as soon as a deviation appears.
• Change and prepare the application cylinders, approximately once a week.
• Perform first-level maintenance: cleaning, routine machine maintenance, small interventions.
• Ensure handling related to the station and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Respect safety and chemical product handling instructions.

PRACTICAL CONDITIONS

• 3x8 schedule, Monday to Friday: morning 5:00 to 13:35, afternoon 13:30 to 22:05, night 22:00 to 5:05, with 30 minutes of break.
• Occasional weekend work depending on the workload.
• Temporary mission of 3 months at 100 %, with the possibility of permanent engagement at our client afterwards.
• Start of function immediately or to be agreed.
• Production site in an industrial zone, free parking on site.
• Protective equipment provided.

SEARCHED PROFILE

• At least one year of experience as an industrial or production worker, or in a physical and rhythmic job (catering, construction, logistics).
• Experience in painting or surface treatment is an asset, not a condition.
• Accustomed to 3x8, or truly ready to work in shifts, including at night.
• Visual acuity and color perception adapted to appearance control: the shade is controlled by eye.
• Thoroughness, precision, and sense of detail in the application of standards.
• Autonomous, proactive, punctual, good team spirit, and ability to learn quickly.
• Good physical condition: standing position all day, regular handling.
• Fluent French spoken to understand and apply instructions and product sheets.
• Driver's license and vehicle indispensable: the site is not served at the start and end of service hours.
• Residence less than 30 minutes from the site.
• Forklift or overhead crane (hoist) license: an asset.
• Swiss nationality or valid work permit.
