HYDRO Exploitation SA is an important service provider, active notably in the field of operation and maintenance of energy production facilities. We bring all the necessary skills under one roof, from maintenance personnel to engineering.

We operate and maintain a fleet of facilities including more than 40 hydroelectric power plants. Their installed capacity corresponds to approximately 22 % of the available hydraulic power in Switzerland (25 % with the pumping stations). Together, the facilities we operate produce approximately 16 % of the hydraulic electricity in Switzerland.

Electrical Engineer

Your mission:

You are responsible for the realization of studies and renovation projects as well as expertise in the field of electrical machines and their voltage regulation. You ensure the engineering for the maintenance of generators and motors in the hydroelectric power plants. In addition, you participate as a commissioning coordinator in the commissioning of the hydroelectric facilities.

Your tasks:

• Implementation and management of complete and complex projects in the field of rotating machines, from the preliminary project phase to commissioning
• Propose and realize technical improvements to optimize the operation of the facilities
• Ensure technical support to the maintenance managers of the different hydroelectric power plants
• Elaborate and update maintenance and investment plans
• Write technical offers and budgets
• Organize and coordinate construction sites and the commissioning of rotating machines
• Perform diagnostic tests on electrical machines
• Engineering and commissioning of excitation systems and voltage regulation
• Update technical documentation in the facilities

Your skills:

• ETH or HES Engineer in electrical engineering, preferably with experience
• Knowledge in the field of rotating electrical machines and/or voltage regulation systems
• Knowledge in the elaboration of studies and in the procurement of electrical components as well as their commissioning are an advantage
• Organizational and decision-making capacities to manage several projects simultaneously in a solution-oriented manner
• Sense of responsibility, autonomy and team spirit
• Native German or French speaker with very good knowledge of the other language
