Social Worker

Job Description ##

As a social worker at the Gare de l-École de l'Accueil site, you contribute to the psycho-social support of young people with a view to their integration into a professional training project.

You support and accompany students and families in personal, family, socio-administrative, or financial difficulty.

You work in close collaboration with the other members of the school's resource group.

The communication of criminal records (clean criminal record) is required to perform the function.

Responsibilities ##

• Evaluate situations, conduct interviews, and take the necessary follow-up actions on a socio-educational and administrative level.
• Promote links between school - family - social network as well as the social and administrative integration of students.
• Help students with their administrative procedures.
• Supervise and provide preliminary assessment for students' requests for financial aid.
• Participate in various work sessions related to the life of the establishment and the support of students.
• Ensure links with partner institutions and assume administrative tasks related to the function.

Qualifications ##

• Bachelor's in social work (HES) or a degree deemed equivalent
• Professional experience with young people and if possible in the field of social and professional integration - 5 years
• Knowledge of the migration field and the Vaud school system desired
• Interest in multidisciplinary work, active listening, and empathy

L-Ecole de l-Accueil offers a school curriculum with a duration of 1 to 2 years to allophone young people aged 15 to 25 looking for a training path.
