Social Worker / UMUS / at 90% / in CDI

The mobile social emergency unit (UMUS) (https://www.imad-ge.ch/prestations/unite-mobile-durgences-sociales/), composed of nurses and social workers, intervenes in situations mostly related to violence and precariousness in coordination with the Geneva socio-sanitary network.

The team works in pairs and intervenes from 17:00 to 08:00 during the week and 24 hours a day, on weekends and public holidays.

• Evaluate the nature of the request coming from a professional of the Geneva socio-sanitary network and respond to it as soon as possible or direct the situation to a more suitable service
• Intervene and jointly with the nurse, conduct a socio-sanitary evaluation by providing social expertise in this analysis and developing short-term intervention projects, while being the guarantor of legal-juridical limits in the interventions
• Propose to the client and their entourage means aimed at reducing the intensity of the perceived crisis or emergency; offer them listening and support, aimed at immediately restoring their balance and that of their entourage
• Proceed with the written assessment of each intervention by reporting precisely the evaluation, the services offered, as well as the chosen orientation
• Evaluate the circuit and the relevance of the care for each intervention
• Participate in colloquia and team supervisions, outside of intervention hours
• Intervene actively in sessions with partners.
• Bachelor in social work or title deemed equivalent
• Ability to manage crisis situations
• Ease in mediation and aptitude for an adapted positioning towards various interlocutors
• Very good knowledge of the Geneva socio-sanitary network
• Experience in the fields of exclusion, precariousness, care of minors or mental health, would be an asset.
