The public buildings and facilities department manages and maintains the entire administrative and financial heritage of the city of Grand-Saconnex, such as municipal buildings and their surroundings, various amenities, as well as rental and commercial buildings. The rental and management of municipal rooms are also under its responsibility.

Head of the caretaker pool at 100 %

The person hired will primarily be entrusted with the following activities:

• ensure the supervision of tasks related to the cleaning and routine maintenance of buildings;
• monitor and track technical installations;
• in collaboration with site managers, contact companies, coordinate work with them and ensure follow-up;
• manage administrative tasks related to maintenance work;
• provide regular on-call duties (evenings and weekends);
• collaborate with other services of the city of Grand-Saconnex, companies and external contractors, partners, associations and the department of public instruction.

The person applying must meet the following conditions:

• hold a CFC as an operations agent or equivalent;
• be organized and have a sense of work, while being service-oriented;
• master the French language;
• be comfortable with IT tools (Microsoft Office);
• have at least 10 years of experience as a head of a group of caretakers and have already ensured the maintenance of several school establishments and public buildings;
• possess a sense of organization, rigor, precision and the ability to manage several groups of caretakers in parallel;
• be reactive, work autonomously, demonstrate flexibility and initiative;
• be able to integrate easily into a team;
• be officially domiciled in the canton of Geneva;
• have a clean criminal record.
