Maintenance and projects Technician ##

Mission ###

The Maintenance & projects Technician acts as the link between the Asset Management strategy and the operational reality on the ground. He/She performs maintenance interventions on critical equipment, manages or contributes to improvement projects, and ensures their long-term reliability.

An essential actor in asset management, he/she supports industrial performance by combining technical expertise, project management, and close collaboration with production teams.

Main tasks and responsibilities ###

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance interventions on critical equipment, with a high level of technical expertise.
• Actively contribute to asset management: tracking histories, updating data in the CMMS, analyzing failures, and developing action plans.
• Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement projects (reliability, safety, ergonomics, energy performance, digitalization).
• Collaborate closely with the Asset Management team in order to translate strategic priorities into operational actions on the ground.
• Prepare, plan, and execute technical shutdowns and heavy maintenance work, in coordination with production.
• Ensure the compliance of interventions with safety standards, quality, and current regulations.
• Document interventions, write technical reports, and ensure the monitoring of key performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, availability).
• Train and support operators in good practices for the first-level use and maintenance of equipment.
• Participate in technical reviews and risk analyses related to equipment and projects.
• Contribute to a positive team spirit and maintain fluid communication with production, engineering, and management.

The Maintenance & projects Technician also participates in the on-call service, at a rate of one week per month.

Certificates / Diplomas and level of education ###

• Technical CFC or equivalent.

Professional experience ###

• 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance in a demanding environment.
• Proven practice in the rigorous respect of safety and quality rules.

Specific skills and knowledge ###

• Knowledge of industrial automation: Beckhoff / Schneider / Siemens.
• Skills in industrial IT and office tools: Windows, CMMS, SolidWorks.
• Mastery of preventive and corrective maintenance methods and continuous improvement tools.
• Experience in technical project management (planning, monitoring, field coordination).
• Strong ability to analyze failures and implement reliability solutions.
• Forklift license, an asset.

Languages ###

• Excellent knowledge of French (spoken and written).
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
