Head of the Penitentiary Service (M/F) between 80 % and 100%

Mission: You ensure the strategic, operational, and organizational management of the service. You steer the activities of the Penitentiary Service and ensure the management, development, and support of a multidisciplinary team. You ensure the management of the missions entrusted to the Penitentiary Service arising from federal and cantonal legislation. In particular, you ensure the coordination and management of the detention establishments, the Section for the execution of criminal sanctions, and the Probation Section. You coordinate the cantonal penitentiary policy and ensure intercantonal representation at the level of heads of services. You advise and accompany the Head of Department in intercantonal meetings relating to the penitentiary field. You steer the service activities in the three subdivisions: section of detention establishments (management of establishments), section of the execution of criminal sanctions (execution of sentences and measures concerning adults, VOSTRA coordination service), probation section (probation assistance and establishment service) and you coordinate the activities of the sections.

Profile: You hold a complete university education at master's level, completed by a postgraduate diploma at MAS level, as well as professional experience of at least 5 to 6 years. You demonstrate a strong sense of organization, responsibility, and public service. You are able to grasp political and strategic issues as well as to accompany the resulting evolutions. Possessing excellent communication skills and recognized managerial skills, you know how to unite, guide, and motivate employees in the accomplishment of their missions. You demonstrate dynamism as well as a developed spirit of analysis and synthesis.
