Zero Trust Edge Engineer

With you, we are shaping one of the most strategically important security platforms of Schweizerische Post. Together with your team, you will implement one of the first public corporate Zero Trust Edge approaches in Switzerland and work with state-of-the-art network, security, and cloud technologies based on Cloudflare.

What you can achieve

• As part of the Zero Trust Edge team, you develop, operate, and automate the central connectivity and security platform of Schweizerische Post based on Cloudflare.
• Together with your team colleagues, you ensure that users, devices, applications, and partners can communicate with each other securely and reliably at all times.
• The further development of network and internet connectivity, DNS services, and traffic management is part of your diverse area of responsibility.
• You implement modern Zero Trust concepts and ensure secure access control as well as the protection of applications, APIs, and networks.
• Through the use of GitOps, Terraform Enterprise, and other automation solutions, you standardize and optimize operational processes.
• You continuously further develop monitoring, observability, and service reliability, thereby contributing to a stable and high-performance platform operation.
• Together with specialists from the fields of Authentication & Authorization, PKI, Cloud, Security, Workplace, and Architecture, you ensure the reliable 24/7 operation of a mission-critical platform.

What you bring with you

• A completed education in computer science forms the basis of your technical knowledge, supplemented by the willingness to continuously develop yourself.
• Sound know-how in connectivity topics such as routing, DNS, proxy, firewalls, or Secure Web Gateway characterizes your profile.
• You have already dealt with modern security concepts and the basic principles of Zero Trust and want to further deepen your knowledge.
• Ideally, you bring experience with cloud and platform technologies as well as their secure operation.
• GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automation are familiar to you and you understand their added value for stable platform operation.
• Analytical thinking, pragmatism, and the ability to make complex relationships understandable help you in the development of sustainable solutions.
• Good English skills enable you to collaborate in an international technology environment; German skills are an advantage.
