For our client, an international high-tech company specializing in the energy and naval sectors, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f) at 100% for a permanent position.

Your tasks at your new employer

• You design and develop mechanical solutions adapted to the needs and technical specifications of clients, in collaboration with the various project stakeholders
• You study the needs, analyze the constraints and define the technical architectures, then perform the necessary pre-dimensioning calculations for the validation of the selected concepts
• You ensure the detailed design of the equipment, taking into account constructive and regulatory requirements, up to the preparation of the documents necessary for their manufacture
• You take into consideration the constraints specific to the different production processes, notably machining, boilermaking and welding, in order to find the best balance between performance, reliability, costs and deadlines
• You prepare the required technical documentation and support the realization of the equipment by ensuring exchanges with suppliers and external partners
• You contribute to the preparation of technical files and the drafting of technical elements integrated into commercial offers
• You participate in the various design reviews and project follow-up meetings, with internal teams as well as with clients

You offer your new employer

• You have a degree in mechanics, mechatronics, microtechnology, HES/EPF or equivalent training, level Bac+5
• You have at least 10 years of experience in the mechanical design of machines, industrial equipment and/or mechano-welded structures
• You master the complete development cycle, from need analysis to the manufacturing file
• You have solid skills in mechanical design, boilermaking, machining and welding
• You have a systems approach and are comfortable with multidisciplinary projects and interface management
• You know how to analyze complex issues and propose pragmatic solutions
• You are autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented
• You master a 3D design software, ideally CATIA V5
• You master French and English, both orally and in writing
• Ideally, you have knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics
• You are willing to undertake occasional travel in Switzerland and abroad
