DevSecOps ICT Junior Engineer

What you can contribute

• Support the operation of ICT systems related to F‑35A missions by contributing to the functioning of IT infrastructures (servers, networks, databases, and applications)
• Handle technical incidents pertaining to support levels 1 and 2, forwarding complex cases to specialists
• Perform maintenance tasks according to established directives (backups, restorations, security updates, operational checks, etc.)
• Monitor systems, detect anomalies, and take the planned emergency measures
• Update operational documentation, configuration data, and inventory data

Ensure a progressive development of skills in your own areas of responsibility, supervised by experienced specialists and targeted continuous training within the F-35 program

What makes you unique

• Training in computer science (CFC, ES diploma or bachelor's degree) or equivalent experience in an ICT environment
• Experience in system administration, for example user/users management and access rights, incident resolution, and deployment of updates
• Basic knowledge in virtualization (Hyper‑V, VMware) and in system backup and restoration
• Basic knowledge in network administration and databases, with the willingness to improve in a demanding environment
• Ability to work in a structured and rigorous manner, enjoyment of working within interdisciplinary teams

Active knowledge in a second official language and good knowledge of technical English, indispensable in the international environment of the F-35A program

You will evolve where IT has a direct effect on the operational availability of the Air Force: at the heart of the ICT systems of the F-35A program. By collaborating with experienced specialists from the Cyber Command and the Air Force and by obtaining the necessary certifications, you will progressively acquire skills in your own areas of responsibility. You will thus develop expertise that only a handful of specialists possess in Switzerland and contribute directly to the security of the country.

Good knowledge of the military environment is also appreciated.
As systems operate 24/7, some interventions outside of regular hours are to be expected. Category B driver's license is required for travel between sites.
