L’Organic is a business specializing in organic products located in Neuchâtel. As part of its development, the company is implementing a project to create and market organic products, notably from Lebanon and more broadly from the Levant, intended for the Swiss market. In order to support this development, we are looking for a person capable of ensuring the operational and commercial link between Switzerland and the partners, producers, and suppliers located in Lebanon and the region.

Main missions

• Develop and coordinate the supply project between Switzerland and Lebanon.
• Identify, select, and develop relationships with local producers, farmers, and suppliers in Lebanon and, when necessary, in neighboring countries.
• Ensure exchanges and negotiations directly with local producers and partners.
• Participate in the development of a range of products under the L’Organic brand.
• Study the commercial feasibility of new products intended for the Swiss market.
• Coordinate steps related to importation, traceability, organic requirements, and placement on the Swiss market with various specialized partners.
• Develop the L’Organic commercial network in Suisse romande.
• Conduct market, competition, price, margin, and commercial potential analyses.
• Participate in the digitalization of internal processes and the monitoring of development projects.
• Contribute to the marketing and digital strategy of the company.
• Occasionally participate in the operational activities of the store in order to maintain a direct link with customers and the market.
• Perform, when necessary, business travel to Lebanon and Switzerland.

Profile sought
Essential criteria

• Higher university education in business management, innovation, entrepreneurship, international trade, or an equivalent field.
• Demonstrable experience or knowledge in business development, project management, sourcing, or new product development.
• Very good understanding of how small businesses operate and the ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment where responsibilities are cross-functional.
• In-depth knowledge of the Lebanese economic, agricultural, and commercial context and the functioning of relationships with local producers.
• Ability to directly develop and maintain a network of producers and partners in Lebanon.
• Good understanding of the Swiss market, particularly retail and the organic products sector.
• Ability to work simultaneously on the strategic, commercial, and operational aspects of a project.
• Excellent command of French.
• Excellent command of Arabic, indispensable for negotiations and coordination with certain local producers and partners.
• Good command of professional English.
• Availability for regular travel between Switzerland and Lebanon.
• Driver's license.

Particularly sought-after skills

• Knowledge of food and agricultural products from the Levant.
• Understanding of issues related to the importation of food products to Switzerland.
• Knowledge of requirements relating to organic products, traceability, and certification.
• Experience in the development of a new range or a new brand.
• Skills in market analysis, business development, and partnership development.
• Skills in digital marketing and project management tools.

Personal profile
We are looking for an autonomous, entrepreneurial, and versatile person, capable of building a project from its initial phase and working both with local producers in Lebanon and with professional partners and customers in Switzerland.
The position requires a strong capacity for adaptation, a Swiss-Middle East intercultural understanding, and the ability to work in a small, developing structure.
