In order to strengthen its teams and accompany the evolution of its digital environment, the Direction des systèmes d'information (DSI) of the CHUV is looking for a workstation engineering and virtualization team lead at an activity rate of 80% to 100%, on an indefinite term contract. The start date is planned from 1 December 2026.

Context :

The Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculté de biologie et de médecine of the Université de Lausanne and the EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and training.

Within the Department of infrastructures, the Direction des systèmes d'information (DSI) accompanies the digital transformation of the CHUV in order to support the clinical, research, teaching, and administrative activities of the institution.

As a team lead, you will manage a team of engineers and technicians specialized in workstation technologies, terminal management, and virtualization infrastructures. Combining management and technical expertise, you will contribute to the modernization of the digital working environment and guarantee the quality of services made available to the employees of the CHUV.

Mission :

• You supervise, support, and develop a team of engineers and system technicians
• You define and evolve the strategy related to workstations and virtualization solutions, as well as the associated technical standards
• You guarantee the availability, performance, and security of the platforms under your responsibility and contribute to risk management and service continuity
• You provide your technical expertise within the framework of projects, major changes, and the resolution of complex incidents
• You manage projects for the evolution of user environments and supervise the life cycle of services and solutions related to workstations and mobile terminals
• You ensure the governance of workstation and application virtualization solutions and participate in the definition of architectures and the technological choices of the DSI
• You collaborate closely with the Infrastructure, Applications, Cybersecurity, and Support teams
• You ensure the budgetary, contractual, and supplier management of your field, implement performance indicators, and ensure reporting to management.

Profile :

• You hold a university, EPF, or HES degree in computer science, or a title deemed equivalent
• You have complementary training in management or team management
• You have proven experience in managing technical teams
• You have at least 10 years of experience in Microsoft infrastructures and workstation engineering
• You have significant experience in leading large-scale infrastructure projects within complex environments presenting high requirements for availability and security
• You possess recognized expertise in several technologies, including Microsoft Windows Enterprise, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Omnissa Horizon, or C# programming.

Depending on the profile of the candidate, the salary class is located between levels 12 and 13.
