The Fondation Maisons pour Etudiants Lausanne (FMEL) is a Swiss non-profit public interest organization managed by a Board of Trustees.
Its mission: to design, implement and manage houses dedicated to the accommodation of students from the Université de Lausanne (UNIL), the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and specialized universities located in the Vaud territory or contracted (HES_VD).
Missions:
The renovations & purchasing manager is in contact with external companies, with administrative services and sometimes with tenants. For this purpose, their attire, attitude and behavior must convey an irreproachable image of the FMEL.
Within the FM department, the renovations & purchasing manager carries out the following main missions:
Lead building renovation projects defined within the budget or out of budget.
Prepare requests for offers, analysis of quotes, planning of works, monitoring of construction sites.
Manage purchases in a way as to guarantee consistency and homogeneity in the purchase of supplies and services, manage the supply of the central stock and the availability of necessary items in all FMEL satellite stocks.
He/She works in close collaboration with the other services attached to the FM department, as well as with the housekeeping teams in the field.
Your assets:
Training as a building technician with confirmed experience in the monitoring of works.
Experience in coordination of renovation projects, strong taste for organization.
Confirmed experience in the drafting of calls for tender, negotiations, and awarding of works.
Good organization in work (several sites to manage) and capacity to organize oneself by planning tasks by order of priority and importance.
Good interpersonal skills (contacts with different stakeholders) and capacity to communicate schedules to the different stakeholders.
Rigor in budget monitoring.
Previous experience in purchasing / stock management.
Driver's license.
To have a CFC, a gymnasiale maturity (or equivalent level) at minimum.
Excellent mastery of French orally and in writing (minimum C1 level).
Good mastery of usual IT tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a real motivation to discover and use new tools.

Workplace:
With an office based in Chavannes-près-Renens, the renovation & purchasing manager is required to travel regularly to the different FMEL sites.
