Your mission
The manager guarantees, through their unit, a quality welcome allowing migrant persons to orient themselves quickly in their new environment. He/she promotes their rapid, lasting, and participatory integration within the Geneva community, in coordination with internal and external partners at Hospice général. He/she also works towards the development of living together, the strengthening of social cohesion, and the promotion of harmonious, respectful, and inclusive cohabitation within collective accommodation centers and the neighborhoods in which they are located.
To this end, the unit:
Ensures the implementation of processes, mechanisms, and infrastructures necessary for the welcome, information, and orientation of newcomers;
Develops interactions, intercultural exchanges, and opportunities for meeting between the migrant population and the host society in order to promote social integration, participation in local life, and living together;
Designs, supports, and coordinates actions promoting inclusion, autonomy, civic engagement, the development of empowerment, and the development of social links between residents and their environment;
Accompanies beneficiaries in the progressive acquisition of their autonomy in daily life acts and in the understanding of their social, administrative, and institutional environment, in order to promote their active participation in society;
Develops and animates a network of local partners (public, private, associations, volunteers, inhabitants, municipalities, cultural and sports institutions, etc.) contributing to integration and social cohesion;
Promotes the participation of residents in collective life and encourages initiatives that strengthen responsibility, mutual respect, and the sense of belonging to the community;
Manages collective life within the accommodation centers and prevents, accompanies, or resolves situations of tension or conflict through an approach favoring dialogue, mediation, and respect for diversity;
Ensures the planning, monitoring, and control of the unit's budget framework, ensures the efficient use of allocated resources, and contributes to the optimization of services in compliance with institutional objectives;

The manager anticipates and accompanies the organizational evolutions necessary for the adaptation of the unit in order to offer services meeting the needs of beneficiaries and the issues of integration, social participation, and living together in the canton. Qualifications
Your profile
You have a university education (minimum Bachelor) or a HES degree and experience in a position with managerial responsibilities, preferably in accommodation structures for a public in a situation of precariousness;
Dynamic and flexible personality, you are comfortable in human contacts and demonstrate openness;
You demonstrate a good analytical spirit as well as an aptitude to adopt a broad vision;
Your sense of diplomacy and your capacity for innovation are recognized;
Your interest in social work in complexity is proven;
You have a very good knowledge of legal frameworks and demonstrate administrative rigor;
You master common IT tools;
Knowledge of a project management methodology is a plus, and knowledge of the migration field and the Geneva associative fabric is an asset.
